About Poppy’s creators

The Poppy’s name is in memory of the Weil family’s beloved Welsh Springer Spaniel who had her own couture bed, designed with the same care and detail that goes into microCloud luxury bedding – the company that launched Poppy’s Pet Bed.

Poppy’s Pet Bed has its genesis in the microCloud story and the company’s luxurious white goose-down quilts. A family company, microCloud has been designing bedding for five-star hospitality clients, designers and retailers for 50 years. In that time microCloud has grown and now offers a premium range of pillows, quilts, mattress toppers and mattresses.

Our Mission

We are dog lovers so creating Poppy’s Pet Bed was a natural and inevitable evolution. The Poppy’s Pet Bed embraces the microCloud dedication to excellence, reflecting same ethics, values and philosophies demonstrating the same love and devotion as our beloved Spaniel.

Creating all the key features we desired for our own pet dog; we designed Poppy’s Pet Bed for our home and our family. Sleep, health, hygiene and superb comfort are the key cornerstones, together with unsurpassed quality and craftsmanship.

We carefully rejected all that could be harmful to you, the environment or your dog’s health.

Rather than selecting the common foam-moulded type pet beds, which often have unpleasant, chemical odours, poor air flow or breathability, we decided on using our reliable and proven premium fibre-fill: the exact same fibre-fill as we use for our popular microCloud mattress toppers.

Our Vision

As pet owners and luxury-bedding designers, we also understand how often pet bedding needs a thorough machine wash and tumble dry . Our hands-on home laundry experience went into the design and development of the Poppy’s Pet Bed. All components of the Poppy’s Pet Bed can be machine washed on a gentle, cold wash cycle and then tumble dried. It is highly recommended that Poppy’s Pet Bed be washed separately. We have also conveniently included a complimentary second set, comprising of the inner protective cover and the velour-feel quilted outer cover for an easy change over prewash. Please, never dry-clean Poppy’s Pet Bed.
